The purpose of this event is to educate and spread awareness to everyday shoppers at Publix about getting their annual flu vaccine. Many people are afraid of getting the flu shot as they may have anxiety or misinformation about getting shots or the vaccine itself. Students will educate and encourage the public to get the flu vaccine and discuss any barriers the patient may have that keeps them from getting their flu shot. Students may also encourage and educate patients to get other vaccines as well, such as the pneumonia vaccine.
